What’s your favorite meal to cook for your family?
I love to cook my mom's homemade spaghetti sauce. The girls always want to help add in all the spices, and I can remember as a kid wanting to do the same with my mom.
What is your favorite season and why?
My favorite season is fall because I enjoy the cooler weather, the leaves changing colors, and cooking soups and chili. Plus the excitement of going to the pumpkin patch and eating cider donuts is always something I can't wait to do with my family!
What is the first thing your family will do once stay-at-home is over?
The first thing will probably be to go to the greenhouse together. The girls love to help me plant flowers in the spring!
What music are you listening to lately?
A little bit of everything. All this time at home with the family has forced us to mix it up a little.
Where would you take a day-trip to from KC?
We would go to Washington, MO to visit our family. We haven't seen them since the stay-at-home order began, and it's been hard on all of us.
What is your most used emoji?
What architect/designer do you look to for inspiration?
I have always loved Peter Zumthor. I was fortunate enough to travel to Switzerland in college during a study abroad to experience some of his work. His minimalist approach and connection to nature has always inspired me.
Never have I ever...
seen Forrest Gump.
Where would we find you on a day off work?
Spending time with my family. We love to try new recipes together at home or try new places to eat. My oldest, Reese, is turning into quite the foodie.
Favorite city you have visited?
Vals, Switzerland; I can still picture the green grass, beautiful flowers, and quaint town.
Where are you headed on your next vacation?
We are going to Seaside, FL in June. I am hopeful we will get to go and put our toes in the sand.
