The cafeteria at Research Medical Center has undergone a major upgrade! We worked with RMC to reimagine the hospital cafeteria experience with an elevated aesthetic that incorporated the brand's colors. After shadowing families, staff, and students to understand how different groups used the space, we designed a comfortable environment with different zones and postures that met the needs of the group.

 

This welcoming environment is a destination that provides a comfortable space for meals while also offering opportunities to connect with others or a place of retreat and focus.

 

New finishes, multiple seating areas and types, biophilic green walls, a variety of lighting fixtures, and a streamlined flow are just a few of the ways we enhanced their dining area. We also identified ways to improve wayfinding and signage opportunities.
