bcDESIGNGROUP designed a new 3-story addition to University Hospital that is currently under construction.  The renovation and expansion of the hospital’s Level 1 Trauma Center will allow for the growth of their emergency department for years to come.  This project is the result of 2 years of information gathering, studies, planning, and design which allowed us to determine the optimum flow for this department.  The new design also incorporates a new face for the emergency department, so all patients will have clear direction upon arrival.

The entirety of this project will be built while keeping their ED open. bcDESIGNGROUP worked with hospital staff and the contractors to create a multi-phase construction

schedule that allows the ED

to stay fully functional during

construction.
